You Let Me Walk Alone was the German entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon performed by Michael Schulte. It earned a perfect score from all three voting sections during the German national final Unser Song für Lissabon.
The song is a tribute to Michael's dad, who passed away in 2005.
As a member of the Big Five, Germany was already pre-qualified for the final and Michael previewed his song in the second semifinal along with those from France and Italy. In the final, it was performed 11th following Serbia and preceding Albania. At the close of voting, it finished in 4th place with 340 points, Germany's best result since 2010.
