Wild Youth is an Irish band formed in 2016. Their first single "All or Nothing" was released in mid-2017 and became a minor hit, leading to opening for artists such as Niall Horan and Zara Larsson.
Their debut EP entitled "The Last Goodbye" reached the top 5 on the Irish chart in early 2019.
They represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song We Are One, winning the 2023 edition of Eurosong in a very close vote. They finished in 12th place in the first semifinal.
Following their Eurovision participation, in late 2023, band member David Whelan was announced as a contestant in the 7th series of the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars, which aired in early 2024. He is the second Irish Eurovision act to participate in the series, following 2022 representative Brooke Scullion participating in the sixth series in 2023, after her Eurovision participation. Whelan danced with Georgian dancer Salome Chachua, and qualified for the final, where they finished as one of the runner-ups behind former Paralympian Jason Smyth and his partner Karen Byrne.
