Why Me? was the Irish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 in Malmo performed by Linda Martin and written by 2-time winner Johnny Logan. It is sung from the point of view of a woman who is lucky to have her lover in her life - Johnny had originally written it about his wife. He also admitted that it appealed to him to win singing someone else's song, singing his own song, and have another artist win singing one of his songs.
It was performed 17th on the night following the United Kingdom and preceding Denmark. At the close of voting, it was declared the winner with 155 points, giving Ireland its fourth victory overall and the first of three consecutive wins in the early 90s.
It also entered Linda into the elite group of artists who finished first one year and second in another and further cemented Johnny's "legendary" status in Eurovision history, joining the group of composers who have written two winning songs.
