Vladimir Vlado Janevski, better known as Vlado Janevski, is a Macedonian singer and songwriter.
Despite studying English at Ss. Cyril and Methodius, and being fluent in four other languages other than his native tongue, he started his career as a part of a number of bands, playing piano, guitar, and drums. He took part in multiple festivals across the former Yugoslavia, including "Interfest" in 1994 where he got the grand prize, and on "Makfest" where got the second prize and the first in 1995. He released his debut album in 1993, and became well-known for his written lyrics.
He won the first edition of Skopje Fest, which allowed him to be the first Macedonian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham with the song Ne zori, zoro. The last ever song with an orchestral arrangement at Eurovision, it placed 19th with 16 points, relegating them for the 1999 contest. Nevertheless, he also wrote the lyrics for his successor song, 100% te ljubam.
