Vasil Garvanilev is a North Macedonian singer. He started his career at the age of 7, and during the Balkan conflicts of the 1990s, fled with his family to the United States, later establishing himself as an opera singer in Canada.
He now lives in North Macedonia full time. In 2016, he contributed backing vocals to Chance the Rapper's highly-acclaimed album "Coloring Book". He was an offstage backing singer for Tamara Todevska at the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, and later that year released his first solo single, "Patuvam".
On 15 January 2020, MRT announced that Vasil would represent North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam with the song You. With its cancellation, it was announced on 20 January 2021 that Vasil would represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song Here I Stand, which he wrote himself. It failed to qualify from the first semifinal, finishing in 15th place.
