Valentina Monetta is a Sammarinese singer. She has represented the microstate on 3 consecutive years (2012, 2013 and 2014) and is only one of four artists, including Lys Assia, Corry Brokken and Udo Jürgens to do so.
Her first attempt was at the 2012 contest with The Social Network Song. She finished 14th in the semifinal. A year later at the 2013 contest in Malmo, she performed Crisalide (Vola), which was a fan favorite. She didn't qualify, though she did much better than in Baku, finishing 11th in the semi.
Third time proved to be a charm when she returned to the 2014 contest in Copenhagen with the song Maybe (Forse) and gave her country its first-ever qualification after squeaking out of the first semifinal a mere point ahead of Portugal. She finished 24th in the final.
She returned for San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv with Jimmie Wilson performing Spirit of the Night, finishing last in the second semifinal with only 1 point from the German televote.
