Uku Suviste is an Estonian singer, songwriter and music producer. He started his music career in 2004 and has released 15 singles since then. He has also taken part in several music festivals, most notably finishing 3rd at the New Wave Festival in 2018.
He has also performed on stage in several musicals including Grease, West Side Story and Chicago.
Uku has made several attempts to represent Estonia at Eurovision. He was eliminated in the semifinal in 2016 with "Supernatural", and three years later placed second behind Victor Crone with "Pretty Little Liar". He served as a member of the Estonian jury for the 2019 contest.
He was to have represented Estonia at the 2020 contest with his song What Love Is. With the cancellation of the event, the Estonian broadcaster announced that he would not be automatically chosen for 2021 and instead would get a direct berth in the semifinals of Eesti Laul 2021. Despite finishing in 8th place with the juries, he won Eesti Laul 2021 and will represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song The Lucky One. He failed to qualify from the second semifinal, finishing in 13th place.
