Tommy Nilsson is a Swedish rock singer and composer. During his early music career, he was a member of two heavy metal bands, Horizont and Easy Action. After the latter split up, he embarked on a solo career. He had a number of hits in Sweden throughout the 1980s.
After his 4th-place finish in the 1989 Contest in Lausanne, he remained popular on the Swedish music scene and again attempted to represent his country at the 2007 Contest in Helsinki but finished in last place in the final of Melodifestivalen after failing to score any points from the judges and televoting audience. However, the song reached the Top 10 on the Swedish music charts.
He is also known for his dubbing work for animated films and series, including "Top Cat", "Batman: The Animated Series", "The Busy World of Richard Scarry", among others. He dubbed Mel Gibson's voice of John Smith in "Pocahontas".
