Anastasia and Maria Tolmachevy are identical twin singers from the Russian city of Kursk. At the age of nine, they won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Bucharest, Romania, with their song "Vesenniy Jazz". In the national final held on 4 June 2006 they were finally chosen from 20 acts to represent their country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which they won clearly. They received 154 points, beating Belarus that got 129 points.
9 years after this, they were chosen to represent Russia at Eurovision 2014. Their song was selected from amongst the 200 singers and bands around Russia that participated in the national selection competition.
They were part of the Russian jury in the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv.
