Tick-Tock! was the Ukrainian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen performed by Mariya Yaremchuk.
The song underwent a series of edits and changes since winning the national final. The original version was met with mixed to mostly negative reviews. Yaremchuk then premiered a new version of the song during the Maltese national final. The new version had a darker and more haunting tone and was met with mixed to positive reviews. Then, when the song deadline was due, the final version was unveiled by Yaremchuk. The new version was met with mostly positive reviews due to the huge lyrical and musical overhaul.
It qualified from the first semifinal in 5th place. In the final, it was performed first preceding Belarus. In addition to the singer, the performance featured Igor Kuleshyn running in a big wheel (resembling a wheel for hamsters). At the close of voting, it finished in sixth place with 113 points.
Lyrics[]
I believe that I've loved you
Since the first time that I saw you
Bells rang angels sang
When the light of the night
Fell on us we knew
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
We both knew that you were mine
Now cover me, I'll buy us time, time
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh *2
Tick-tock, can you hear me go tick tock
My heart is like a clock, I'm steady like a rock
Sch don't stop, kiss and kiss me till I drop
My heart is like a clock you wind it with your love
You wind and wind, it with your love
Now I know it's too hard to
go tick tock without the glimpse of you
If you cave in I break
I keep losing my pace
In this endless race
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
They all know that you're mine
They can see we belong
Shelter me, you'll do fine
Wait for me, I'll buy us time
Tick-tock, can you hear me go tick tock
My heart is like a clock, I'm steady like a rock
Sch don't stop, kiss and kiss me till I drop
My heart is like a clock, you wind it with your love
