The Black Mamba is a Portuguese funk/soul band formed in 2010. They first formed as a trio, but often expands its members for touring and other events. They released their first album that same year.
They were the surprise winners of the 2021 edition of Festival da Canção and represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song Love Is On My Side, Portugal's first-ever Eurovision entry in the English language. They finished in 12th place in the final.
The group's frontman Pedro Tatanka was chosen to present the Portuguese vote results for the 2022 contest in Turin. He later took part in the 4th season of The Masked Singer Portugal as "Serpent".
