Tanja Ribič is a Slovenian actress and singer.
After graduating from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, Tanja started appearing in movies. In addition, she has been in the Ljubijana City Theatre since 1992. Her first major award came in 1994, when she was recognized for a comedy role.
Three years later, she won EMA with the dark medieval-influenced ballad Zbudi se, which she represented Slovenia with at the Eurovision Song Contest 1997. It came in 10th place out of the 25 countries competing. Afterwards, she released two records, Ko vse utihne and To je zdaj amore, the former reaching gold status. Afterwards, Tanja turned away from music until 2009.
Since then, she has continued to act for film and on stage; her most notable role is in 2007's Naša mala klinika. In addition, Tanja also speaks German, English, and Bosnian.
