Svante Thuresson was a Swedish jazz music musician and singer. He started his music career as a drummer before joining a band in the 1960s. However, he is best known for representing his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1966 in Luxembourg with Lill Lindfors, finishing as runners-up.
In 2002, he released "Nya kickar", which rose the classic/jazz charts in Sweden. In 2007, Thuresson and Anne-Lie Rydé performed at Melodifestivalen 2007 as a duo for the opportunity to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland but were not selected.
He passed away on 13 May 2021 at the age of 84
