Svala Björgvinsdóttir, sometimes known professionally as Svala or Kali, is an Icelandic singer and songwriter. She recorded her first song at age 7 and had her first hit song at age 9, at the same time she took ballet for 7 years with the Icelandic National Theatre Ballet.
She is most notable for her 2001 song "The Real Me" and has been part of the house band Steed Lord since 2006.
Svala represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song Paper, finishing in 15th place in the first semifinal.
