Soraya Arnelas Rubiales, better known by her stage name Soraya is a Spanish singer. Born in Valencia, she moved to Madrid at the age of 11 where she wanted to study drama, but later started working as a flight attendant.
She participated in the fourth series of Operación Triunfo in 2005 where she finished runner-up. After the series ended, she released her debut album "Corazón De Fuego" which went platinum in Spain and since released 5 other albums between 2006 and 2013.
Soraya participated in the Spanish National Final in 2009, beating Melody in a tiebreaker due to receiving more points from the public and thus representing Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with the song La noche es para mi. She finished in 24th place at the final.
She served as the Spanish spokesperson at the 2024 contest in Malmö.
