Sophie Hecquet, known mononymously as Sophie, was a French radio presenter, actress and former singer who represented Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 in Stockholm with the song Une chanson c'est une lettre, which finished in 13th place.
She began her career under the pseudonym 'Jenny Ann' and accompanied Johnny Hallyday on tour. In 1963, she appeared in the film "Cherchez l'idole".
For 15 years she was a radio presenter with the station 'RMC', notably beside Jean-Pierre Foucault presenting "Le Carlotto", before presenting the shows alone at the weekends as well as presenting youth programmes with the station. She left 'RMC' in the years 1980/1982 to join RTL Television.
Sophie was a 'TMC' spokesperson from 1970 to 1979 and for RTL Television in the 1980s. From September 1995 to June 1996, she was a producer on the TV show "Comme chez vous" on RTL-TVI.
She died on 28 October 2012 at the age of 68 after undergoing an operation of an aortic aneurysm.
