Silvia Night (full name Silvía Nótt Sæmundsdóttir) is the alter-ego of Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir, an Icelandic singer and actress. According to her portrayer, Silvia is said to be narcissistic and claims herself to be the most talented person to ever walk the face of the Earth. She has a loyal following among young people, but is widely criticized for her outlandish behavior.
She represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens performing the song Congratulations, but did not qualify for the final having only finished in 13th place in the semifinal.
During her time in the competition, she became well known for various "antics" including cussing at technicians and journalists, offending the Greek people, as well as insulting other artists. This "tantrum" eventually went viral, amassing over 1 million views on YouTube.
Silvia was voted Iceland's sexiest woman in 2006 by a national radio station. Coincidentally, her real-life portrayer finished 4th in that same ranking.
