Sibel Tüzün is a Turkish pop/rock/jazz singer.
She started singing at the TRT's Children's Choir, then she advanced to the Youth's Choir when she was a teenager. There, she met Gökçen Koray, Cenan Akın and Hikmet Şimşek. When she was at Beşiktaş Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi, she started getting interested in pop and rock music; this led to a third place finish in a high school song contest.
In 1988, Sibel got accepted to Istanbul University State Conservatory, where she focused on Opera. At the same time, she refined her skills in jazz and pop. In 1991, she signed with the record label Raks Müzik, beginning her professional career.
The next year, she released her debut album, Ah Biz Kızlar, which led to three hit songs and an exhaustive tour. Sibel then worked with Robert Bricknell in London to develop her voice in 1994. Afterwards, she released her second album, which achieved similar success in Turkey.
After completing a 1997 tour of Europe, Sibel started her own production company Arinna Muzik. She produced her album Hayat Buysa Ben Yokum Bu Yolda ("If This Is Life, I'm Not In") end released it in 1998; it contained eight songs with lyrics written by Sibel. She scored a hit with "Yine Yalnızım" in 2002.
In 2006, she represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song Süper Star, which placed 11th in the grand final.
