Shake it up Şekerim ("Shake it Up, Sweetheart") was the Turkish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki performed by Kenan Doğulu.
Shekerim has a hip hop melody resembling that of Çakkıdı. An electric guitar bass line can be heard as an introduction. The song then blends in with Anatolianmusic with the indigenous bağlama instrument popular among Balkan and neighbours of Turkey including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece and Iran. The chorus then starts, whilst the song pauses at about the midpoint, traditional Turkish music similar to the Horon dancers is heard.
It qualified from the semifinal in 3rd place. In the grand final, it was performed 22nd on the night following Bulgaria and preceding Armenia. At the close of voting, it finished in 4th place with 163 points.
