Sarah Hudadatov, known professionally as Sarit Hadad, is an Israeli singer.
The youngest of seven children, she participated in a talent contest, playing the piano at ten years old. Simultaneously, she played the organ, guitar, accordion, and darbuka, a type of Middle Eastern drum. Sarit was recognized as a child prodigy early on for these talents.
At the age of 15, she joined the Hadera Youth Band. When she was 16 she was discovered by Avi Gueta, who is still her manager. Hadad's career as a pop singer has been highly successful, with many of her songs topping the Israeli charts. This success pushed her into the spotlight with the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, where she performed the song Nadlik Beyakhad Ner (Light A Candle). It ended up placing 12th with 37 points.
Performing in multiple languages, she usually sings Mizrahi songs. She is also notable for being the first Israeli artist to perform in Jordan.
