Sarai Tzuriel is an Israeli singer and actress. Like some past Israeli Eurovision artists, she completed her National Service in the army as part of a performance troupe.
Children growing up in Israel in the late 1970s to the early 1990s will know Sarai best as Kippi Ben Kippod, the porcupine character on Rechov Sumsum, the Israeli version of Sesame Street (coincidentally enough, her Israeli Eurovision successor Natan Datner was part of the show's human cast in the early 1980s). She also performed the character in the 1980s Israel-USA co-production Shalom Sesame and in the New Year's special Sesame Street Stays Up Late.
She represented Israel alongside Moti Giladi at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen with the song Yavo Yom.
