Samira Efendiyeva, known professionally as Samira Efendi or simply Efendi is an Azeri singer. She is best known for participating in the first series of The Voice of Azerbaijan where she made the grand finals. She also participated in the talent competition Silk Road Star.
She made two prior attempts to represent her country at Eurovision: in 2014 she competed in the national selection but was eliminated just before the final. She was also one of the five shortlisted artists for the 2019 contest, which eventually chose Chingiz.
She was originally chosen to participate in the 2020 contest with her song Cleopatra. With the cancellation of the event, Ictimai Television announced that she would represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song Mata Hari. She finished in 20th place in the final.
In her spare time, Samira runs her own sweets shop called Efendi Sweet. She is also currently dating 2021 Norwegian representative TIX.
