Rosa López is a Spanish singer. She first came to fame in 2002 as the very first winner of the reality series Operación Triunfo (which would eventually be sold worldwide as Star Academy). During the series, she endeared herself to the Spanish viewing public who dubbed her "Rosa de España".
In winning the series, her prize was to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Talinn with the song Europe's Living a Celebration, and for her performance she was backed by the 5 runners-up from the show. She finished in 7th place with 81 points, one of Spain's best results at Eurovision in the 21st century.
Since her appearance, she has released 7 albums and remains a popular artist in Spain. In 2015, Rosa appeared at the Eurovision's Greatest Hits concert in London, performing a medley of Spanish contest songs including her 2002 entry.
She was one of the five jurors for Spain in the 2015 contest in Vienna.
