Roman Lob is a German singer. He first came to the public's attention when he took part in the fourth series of Deustchland sucht den Superstar but withdrew due to a vocal chord infection after making it into the Top 20 contestants.
He first attempted to represent his homeland at the Contest in 2008 as part of the boyband G12P - Germany 12 Points - but their song was not selected to compete in the national final.
In 2012, he returned as a soloist and won the right to represent his home country, directly qualifying for the final due to the country's status as a Big Five nation. He finished in eighth place overall.
To date he has released two studio albums and is the lead singer of alternative rock band "Rooftop Kingdom" as well as being a founding member of German metalcore band "Days of Despite".
