Regina is a Bosnian rock band founded in 1989. The band began life as a garage band. Their songs are inspired by the Irish band U2 and to date they have released eleven studio albums.
When the war started in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serb members fled from Sarajevo to Belgrade, Serbia, where Regina continued their career, until 2000, when band member Aleksandar started his solo career. Then in 2006, the band reunited with the original members and appeared at a Serbian radio festival organized by Radio S. In 2007 they were the support act for The Rolling Stones at Jaz Beach, Budva.
They were chosen to represent their home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with Bistra voda, which qualified for the final and finished in 9th place.
