Planet Portugal was a series of comedic sketches featured in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Hosted by "David Attenburger" (a parody of David Attenborough), it documented the life of the Portuguese people, presented in the form of a wildlife documentary.

Part I[]

Attenburger observed two persons who were part of the Contest's production team, noting that they are "well-organized and methodical", and that they can be "so confident in their skills, they can deal with everything at the last minute". This is apparent when the crew decided to settle their work later for dinner. At a restaurant, while observing the crew having their meals, Attenburger rejected the restaurant's special of Bacalhau, but gave in after receiving gasps from the patrons.

Part II[]

Two couples passed by, with one dressed in summer attire and the other in winter attire, though at the same weather condition. Titled "On the Brink of Extinction", Attenburger continued his observations of the Portuguese people. One observation involved a football match where the audience would initially criticize the national team, but turned to applauding the team when they scored a goal. In a coffee house setting, Attenburger explained that the Portuguese people had been subjected to a "tragic pandemic" known as gentrification, shown when a man tried ordering simply "coffee", but was given a vanilla matcha latte instead.
