PingPong was a former Israeli pop quartet. They released one album, Between Moral and Fashion, which only sold 1500 copies.
They were internally selected to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song Be Happy (aka Sameyach). Talking about how an Israeli girl has a relationship with a Syrian boy from Damascus, it garnered controversy due to the band members pulling out Israeli and Syrian flags during the rehersals. As Israel was trying to make peace within the region, the IBA called on them to not repeat the act during the show; when PingPong refused, they disavowed their own entry. It ultimately placed 22nd with 7 points and got 3rd last place, with France being 2nd last place and Belgium being dead last place .
Their time at Eurovision was featured in the 2003 documentary, The Loser Takes it All.
