Pearl Lavinia Carr was an English singer born in the county of Devon. She performed in the Eurovision Song Contest 1959 with her husband Teddy Johnson for the United Kingdom with the song Sing, Little Birdie. They placed 2nd in what would be the first of sixteen silver medals for the United Kingdom.
She had a lot of success with her husband, even entering the pre-selection again with him in 1960, and narrowly missing out against her brother-in-law.
Before retiring in 1990, she played the role of Emily Whitman in a West End revival of Follies.
She passed away on 16 February 2020 at the age of 98.
