Patrick Jean-François Chouchayan, better known by his stage name Patrick Fiori, is a French singer of Armenian descent.
Patrick was born of an Armenian father whose family escaped from the Armenian Genocide and a mother from the island of Corsica. As a result, he spent part of his childhood in Marseille and a part in Corsica. He first broke through in 1981 when he was offered a role in the musical La Légende des santonniers. Five years later, he recorded his first songs.
After appearing on the show Les Habits du dimanche, Patrick received more exposure and opened for a number of artists in France. In 1992, he got his first major hit with the song Au fil de l'eau. The following year, he was internally selected to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 with the song Mama Corsica. Notable for mixing French language lyrics with those of the Corsican language, a first for the contest, it placed 4th overall, getting two top scores from Denmark and Portugal.
In 1994, he released his debut album, Puisque c'est l'heure. He released a self-financed follow up in 1995 while appearing on talk shows. After encouragement, he auditioned for the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, in which he earned the role of Phoebus. With Daniel Lavoie and Garou, he recorded the song "Belle" for the show. This would be a hit success and attain diamond certification in France, and win "Best French Song of the Year" in Victoires de la Musique of 1999. Patrick would continue on the show until 2000, in which he continued to release new albums and collaborate with a variety of artists. In addition, he was one of the coaches of The Voice Kids. He was one of the coaches for the 10th anniversary celebration series The Voice All-Stars.
