Patricia Bredin was a British actor and singer from Hull. She was summoned to the BBC and was asked if she wanted to be on television, something she didn’t know about, but she agreed to be the first representative at the Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom in 1957. She performed the song All, the first song to be performed in English in Eurovision and at the time the shortest song in the contest, lasting one minute and fifty-two seconds.
Since 1957, Patricia has starred in many films, most notably in Make Mine a Million. She married twice, with one ending in divorce, and the other widowing her.
She passed away on 13 August 2023 in Nova Scotia, Canada at the age of 88.
