Pavel "Pasha" Parfeny is a singer from Moldova. He represented his country at the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the song Lăutar.


Parfeny was born in 1986 in Orhei, Moldova. His parents are musicians and have always supported his musical career. Pasha’s mother was a piano teacher at the music school of the city of Orhei. His father was a singer and guitarist.[1] Pasha is also known as a former member of the band Sunstroke Project (2010 representatives for Moldova)[2] as a vocalist. He left the band in 2009, the same year he had joined.

Eurovision Song Contest

Parfeny has attempted to enter the Contest four times, succeeding on his last. In 2009, when he was with Sunstroke Project, 2010 (the year his former band won the selection), 2011 and 2012 with the songs "No Crime", "You Should Like", "Dorule" and Lăutar respectively. For the 2013 Contest, he composed O Mie for Aliona Moon.
