Ott Lepland is an Estonian singer who is best known as the winner of the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari (the Estonian syndication of the Idol franchise).
Lepland has been singing since he was a child and released four albums with children songs in 1995 and 1996. He is currently studying pop and jazz singing at Georg Ots' Tallinn Music School. He has also studied piano for ten years.
In 2010, Lepland released his eponymous debut album and in December of that year a fan book of Lepland was released, profiling his career in the eight months since his win on Eesti otsib superstaari.
In 2011, Ott participated in another TV3 TV show Laulupealinn, where Ott represented Estonian town Kärdla. Every week, Lepland had to perform with partners from Kärdla or Hiiu County, including his grandmother, nephew, and a local mixed choir. Lepland won the show and Kärdla has now the title of Singing Capital of Estonia.
He represented his country at the 2012 contest in Baku and finished in sixth place in the final.
Ott later participated in Eesti Laul 2022 with the song "Aovalguses", finishing in 7th place.
