O vento mudou (translation: "The wind changed") was the Portuguese entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1967 in Vienna performed by Eduardo Nascimento.
The song is in the chanson style, popular in the early years of the contest. Nascimento sings about a former lover, who told him that she was going to see the world, promising to return if the wind changed. He explains that the wind did change, but that it did not bring her expected return. He asks the wind to bring her back to him, however he also asks the clouds to cover his pain as he feels that he will die without her.
The song was performed 5th on the night following France and preceding Switzerland. At the close of voting, it finished in 12th place with 3 points.

Oiçam, oiçam: o vento mudou e ela não voltou
As aves partiram, as folhas caíram
Ela quis viver e o mundo correr
Listen, listen: the wind changed and she didn’t return
The birds flew away, the leaves fell on the ground
She wanted to live and travel around the world
She promised to return if the wind changed
And the wind changed and she didn’t return
I know that she lied, and ran away forever
Wind, if you can, bring me back her love
Because I’m going to die, without her by my side
Clouds, have mercy with this lonely me
Knock on her window, cry over her
And the clouds have cried, and when they came back
I knew that she lied, and ran away forever
Clouds, please cover my pain
Because I’m going to die, without her by my side
Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen!
