Nino de Angelo (born Domenico Gerhard Gorgoglione) is a German singer of Italian descent. He began his career in the early 1980s and is best known in the UK for his minor 1984 hit "Guardian Angel". The original version "Jenseits von Eden" spent ten weeks at #1 on the German charts. An Italian version remained at #1 in France for five weeks.
He represented Germany in the 1989 Contest in Lausanne with the song Flieger, which finished in 14th place.
He collaborated with German Eurodance band Mr. President, performing a song called "Olympic Games" from their 1996 album "We See the Same Sun". German band Die Ärzte covered the song "Jenseits Von Eden" on their self-titled album, released in 1986.
He remains active in the German music industry having released his most recent album in 2014.
