Nemo Mettler, known professionally by their first name, is a Swiss singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist based in Berlin. They released their first EP entitled "Clownfish" in 2015 following participation in the third season of Switzerland's Got Talent and has since released three more. In 2016, they participated in SRF Virus' annual "Bounce Cypher" rap battle and became an overnight star.
Between 2017 and 2018, they won five Swiss Music Awards, winning a record 4 in the latter year alone.
In 2022, they participated in the second season of The Masked Singer Switzerland, finishing in 5th place as "Panda". They also participated in the 5th season of Sing My Song: The Swiss Exchange Concert in 2024 alongside 2022 Swiss representative Marius Bear.
On 29 February 2024, SRG SSR announced that they would represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö with the song The Code. It won with 591 points, giving Switzerland its first win in 36 years and making Nemo the first Swiss-born winner since Lys Assia in 1956 and the first ever non-binary winner in contest history.
On 12 June 2024, they announced their "Break the Code" European tour for 2025. Their debut album Arthouse was released in October 2025.

- During a writing camp held in the summer of 2023, Nemo met Teya Spiric, who represented Austria in 2023 as one half of Teya & Salena and became fast friends.
- While most delegations opted to fly to Malmö, Nemo chose a more interesting way of getting there: by hitch-hiking from Zurich. Their journey was documented in a 3-part series on their official YouTube channel.
- They consider 2014 winner Conchita Wurst as their greatest Eurovision hero.
- 2025 co-presenter Sandra Studer participated with Nemo in the second season of The Masked Singer Switzerland as "Pfau" (Peacock).
- Some of their closest friends from the 2024 contest included Bambie Thug (Ireland), Silvester Belt (Lithuania), Luna (Poland), Iolanda (Portugal), Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil (Ukraine) and Marina Satti (Greece). Many of these artists, including Olly Alexander (United Kingdom) and Windows95man (Finland), appeared in the video for Nemo's follow-up single "Eurostar".
- They had the honor of participating in the 2024 Royal Variety Performance in London, in the presence of King Charles III.
- They re-created Celine Dion's winning look from 1988 for the video of the orchestral version of "The Code".
- As of 2025, they are one of two winners of the 2020s to come from an internal selection, the other being JJ.
- Nemo is the first Eurovision winner to return their trophy to the EBU in protest, on 11 December 2025 they announced that their trophy would be returned due to the inclusion of Israel in the 2026 edition.
