Nathan Trent is an Austrian singer, songwriter and actor. Born into a bilingual and artistic family, he started learning violin and piano at the age of 3 and started writing songs at age 11. His father plays violin professionally in the National Theatre of Innsbruck orchestra.
He specializes in pop and R&B music.
It was announced by ORF on 19 December 2016 that Nathan would represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, and in February 2017 it was announced he would sing Running on Air. He finished in 16th place in the final.
At the time of his selection, he was among the candidates for the 2017 German selection, but had to withdraw from the competition.
He was one of the five jurors for Austria in the 2018 contest in Lisbon.
