Muriel Day is a Northern Irish singer. After making her name in the Irish showband circuit, she appeared in the British film Billy Liar in 1963.

She was the first singer from the north of the country to represent Ireland in the Contest, doing so in 1969 with the song The Wages of Love, which finished in 7th place.

After moving to Canada in 1971, Day eventually took up medicine and became a laser therapist. She returned to Belfast in the 1990s, where she has been performing regularly.

As a guest on RTE's The Late, Late Show Eurosong 2015, she announced she was about to release her first ever album.
