Modern Folk Üçlüsü (Modern Folk Trio) is a Turkish rock music trio formed in 1969 consisting of Doğan Canku, Selami Karaibrahimgil and Ahmet Kurtaran. Over a career lasting more than four decades they have released seventeen studio albums. Band member Doğan Canku left the band between 1995 and 1999 and was replaced by singer Hasan Cihat Örter but later returned.
They are best known throughout Europe for representing their home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1981 in Dublin with the song Dönme Dolap, accompanied by singer Ayşegül, which finished in 18th place. They had previously attempted to represent their country three years earlier but finished in third place in the national final.
Selami Karaibrahimgil passed away on 28 December 2024 at the age of 80.
