Mickey Harte is an Irish singer-songwriter. In 2002, he came to the Irish public's attention when he entered the reality television talent show "You're a Star". He went on to win the competition, earning the opportunity to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga. He performed We've Got the World and finished in a respectable eleventh place. The song topped the Irish Singles Chart.
In 2003, he recorded a cover version of Beyoncé's "Crazy In Love" and in 2004 a cover version of Eamon's "I Don't Want You Back".
To date he has released two studio albums.
In late 2024, Harte was revealed as one of the 11 celebrities taking part in the 8th series of the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars, beginning in January 2025. He was the third Eurovision act from Ireland to take part in the series, following Brooke Scullion and David Whelan of Wild Youth. Harte danced with newcomer professional dancer Daniela Roze. Harte and Roze were eliminated in the third week of the competition on 19 January 2025.
