Mariana Secca, better known by her stage name Maro, is a Portuguese singer, songwriter and musician. She gave up dreams of becoming a veterinarian to pursue a music career, studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and living in Los Angeles.
She won the 2022 edition of the Festival da Canção and represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song Saudade, Saudade. She finished in 9th place in the grand final.
She was the spokesperson for Portugal in the 2023 contest held in Liverpool.
