Margot Eskens was a German schlager singer. She began her career in 1954 after winning a talent competition hosted by Polydor Recodrs and a year later scored her first hit in her homeland with the song "Ich möchte heut ausgehn". She has scored two #1 singles and sold over 40 million records.

She represented her homeland in the 1966 Contest in Luxembourg, finishing in tenth place and continues to be a frequent guest on television shows.

Eskens passed away on 4 August 2022, aged 85.[1]
