Luca Hänni is a Swiss singer, songwriter and model. He is best known for winning the ninth series of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of the Idol franchise, in 2012, becoming the first Swiss artist to do so. He was also the first Swiss artist to top the German charts with his debut single "Don't Think About Me". Since then, he has released 4 studio albums.
In 2014, Luca participated in the Migros Christmas charity appeal together with former Swiss Eurovision representatives Pepe Leinhard, Francine Jordi and Sebalter.
He was one of the five jurors for Switzerland in the 2016 contest in Stockholm.
He presented the Swiss jury results during the 2017 Eurovision in Kiev.
On 7 March 2019, SRF announced that Luca would represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song She Got Me. He finished in 4th place in the grand final, giving the country its first top 5 finish since 1993.
He was a panelist for the first 2 seasons of the Swiss version of The Masked Singer and won the 8th season of the German version as "Schuhschnabel" (Shoebill).
