Maj Lillemor "Lill" Lindfors is a well-known Swedish singer born in Finland. She began her showbusiness career in 1960, debuting as a revue actress and branched into recording a year later.
She represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1966 in Luxembourg with duet partner Svante Thuresson with the song Nygammal vals, finishing second behind Austria and ahead of Norway. 19 years later, she hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in Gothenburg, becoming only the third former contestant (behind Corry Brokken and Yardena Arazi) to act as compère of the event.
Lill became famous during the 1985 contest for a "wardrobe malfunction" that occurred just before the voting began, when the skirt of her dress ripped off from the top part leaving her partially uncovered before unwrapping the top section to reveal a new dress. The EBU wasn't too amused, but the fans loved it and it remains one of the contest's most iconic moments.
