Les amants de minuit was the second Luxembourgish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, and the 1956 edition also. The song was performed in the chanson-mode style used by many singers in that particular year, preformed by French singer Michèle Arnaud.
It was performed 13th following France's second entry and Italy's second. Its final placing remains unknown.
