Laura Rizzotto is a Latvian-Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician. Born in Rio, she and her family moved to the United States and spent much time living there. She holds music degrees from California University of the Arts in Los Angeles and Columbia University in New York City.
She started her music career in 2009, releasing her debut studio album two years later.
Laura represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song Funny Girl, winning the 2018 edition of the series Supernova. She finished in 12th place in the second semifinal.
She presented the Latvian jury votes during the grand final of the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv.
In 2020, Laura was invited to join the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in the United States, which oversees the Grammy Awards.
