LT United is a Lithuanian alternative pop group. They were formed in 2006 when Andrius Mamontovas, who was already a well-known artist in Lithuania, thought it would be a good idea to take a run at Eurovision. Another member of the group, Viktor Diawara, already had contest experience having been part of the group SKAMP, which represented the country at the 2001 contest in Copenhagen.
They ended up dominating the Lithuanian national selection with almost double of their nearest rival.
The group represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens with the song We Are the Winners. Despite what many fans thought was an egotistical point of view, the group still managed to finish in 6th place overall in the final and is still the country's best placing to date.
Saulius Urbanovicius was one of the five jurors for Lithuania in the 2014 contest in Copenhagen, while Andrius Mamontovas did the same 2019 contest in Tel Aviv. Andrius would also be the spokesperson for Lithuania in the 2021 contest in Rotterdam.
It is unknown if the group is still together.
