Kristína Peláková, known professionally as Kristina, is a Slovakian pop singer.
She started her career as a child singer; at the encouragement of her teacher, Kristina attended the the Music School in Kosice. While frequenting Jazz Clubs during her time there, she met Martin Kavulič, who helped her secure a contract. The first track, named "Vráť mi tie hviezdy" (Give The Stars Back To Me), became a hit in Slovakia in 2008, the same year that she released her debut album...ešte váham (...Still Hesitating).
In 2010, she won the Eurosong national selection to represent Slovakia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song Horehronie. An ethno-pop song which references the titular region for solace, it hit number 1 on the Slovak charts. It failed to make the final at Eurovision, placing 16th out of 17 in the first semi-final with 24 points. Nevertheless, it remains a solid fan-favorite among the Eurovision community.
