Koit Toome is an Estonian singer and musical theatre actor. He was part of a successful pop duo in 1994 until its split in 1998, and then branched into musicals in 2000 where he performed in the Estonian and touring companies of Les Misérables, West Side Story and Miss Saigon among others. Koit won the Estonian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2007 and was also the voice of Lightning McQueen in the Estonian dub of the Disney movie Cars.
He represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham with the song Mere lapsed, finishing in 12th place. He made his return as the Estonian representative along with fellow returning artist Laura Põldvere at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev performing the song Verona, finishing in 14th place in the second semifinal. This makes him one of the few artists to represent his country at Eurovision in two separate centuries.
He participated in Eesti Laul 2021 with the song "We Could Have Been Beautiful", finishing in 4th place overall just missing the superfinal.
