Katrina and the Waves were an English rock/new wave band fronted by American-born Katrina Leskanich best known for the 1985 hit "Walking on Sunshine." They also won the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Love Shine a Light.
Katrina co-hosted the 2005 Congratulations special in Copenhagen alongside 2000 Latvian representative (and 2003 contest co-presenter) Renars Kaupers of Brainstorm in honor of Eurovision's 50th anniversary.
In 2017, exactly 20 years after the victory, Katrina presented the United Kingdom jury points during the grand final in Kiev.
