Kate Gulbrandsen is a Norwegian singer. She represented her country at the 17th World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo with the song "Carnival", placing third overall and winning a Golden Award.
She is best known for representing Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 1987 in Brussels with the song Mitt liv, winning the Norwegian final in a very close vote. The song finished in 9th place.
Kate is still fondly remembered for her Eurovision performance, and in 2009 was given a tribute during the semifinals of Melodi Grand Prix.
